About Blackmail: Blackmail is our resident escape artist, so much so that “Houdini” may have been a more fitting name! This clever boy has a talent for finding his way out of almost anything and has certainly kept us on our toes. Blackmail was born in the United States and was bred by two kennels we deeply admire – Yetieska & Alkasiber SIberians, who are also the breeders of our Goose and Walker. Blackmail came to us through our good friend Cindy who could no longer keep him contained. He joined our family in June 2024 and officially became a permanent resident in October 2024. Blackmail quickly won us over with his sweet nature and unique personality. He loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and brings endless entertainment wherever he goes. Thanks to his escape-artist tendencies, he accompanies me to work every day and has even jokingly earned the title of “Employee of the Month” more than once. With his big heart, affectionate nature, and boundless energy, Blackmail is a truly special dog. Whether he’s enjoying a snuggle on the couch or racing full speed through the house, he fills our lives with laughter and joy. We are incredibly grateful to have him as part of our family.
Achievements: Blackmail wasted no time making his mark, earning four titles within his first few months with us: Novice Trick Dog (CKC), Trick Dog Novice (AKC), Trick Dog Intermediate (AKC), and 2-K9 Ruff Run during the summer and fall of 2024. He continued his success by earning his Canadian Intermediate Trick Dog title in January 2025. He also completed three rounds of beginner novice agility classes, quickly proving how much he enjoys the sport, especially the tunnel where he can run full speed out lol. In June 2025, Blackmail made his conformation debut and exceeded all expectations, winning 6 of 8 Winners Male and 3 Best of Winners for a total of 9 championship points, leaving him just one point shy of his Canadian Championship after a single weekend of showing. In harness, Blackmail has developed into an exceptional sled dog and is currently training in lead, where his intelligence, drive, and power continue to shine. In May 2026, he returned to the show ring and completed his Canadian Championship, earning 3 Reserve Winners Male placements and 1 Winners Male during only his second show weekend. We are incredibly proud of everything this talented boy has accomplished and look forward to many more adventures together.
