About Aura: Aura, also known as “Smol Bean,” is a very fun and special girl. From the moment she was born, it was clear she would hold a unique place in our hearts. Aura is independent and, while affectionate, she is more reserved and aloof compared to her brother Gambler and half-sister Glisten. She enjoys cuddles, but always on her own terms. Aura also has a playful, rough-and-tumble side and is always ready for a good wrestle with her packmates. Deeply bonded with me (Teghyn), Aura is a loyal companion and truly my dog through and through. The connection we share is incredibly special and something I will always cherish. She is well-mannered with both people and dogs, and is especially wonderful with children. Aura has strong prey drive and will hunt out any small creature that moves. She thrives on mental stimulation, enjoys problem-solving games, and loves adventure, making her an excellent all-around companion in new environments. She also possesses strong working drive and enthusiasm for harness work. Aura runs multiple positions on my team, including lead and continues to prove herself as a capable, hardworking sled dog. Aura is an exceptional and beautiful girl in every way, and I feel very fortunate to have her as part of my life.
Achievements: Aura made her conformation debut in March 2019, and we could not have been more proud of this little princess. She won her Junior Puppy class in all three shows entered and earned Winners Female once for a 2-point major. She then attended the SHCC BC Regional Specialty, where she was awarded Reserve Winners Female from the Bred By class. At her next event in early May 2019, Aura continued her success, earning 5 of 6 Winners Female placements, 4 Best of Opposites (including one over specials), Best of Winners, and Best Puppy in Breed, bringing her to a total of 9 points toward her Canadian Championship. Aura completed her Championship the very next weekend at our local show, where she earned Winners Female, Best of Winners, Best Puppy in Breed, and Best Puppy in Working Group. She was then moved up to Specials for the final day and earned Select Female over an already Grand Champion special, securing her first Grand Champion point at just 9 months of age. Aura showed early enthusiasm for sledding and has proven herself to be an excellent lead dog. In 2020, she earned her Novice Trick Dog title, followed by her 2-K9 Ruff Run title in 2021. In November 2023, she achieved her Triple Threat title. She also enjoys agility and has successfully completed Novice, Low Intermediate, and Intermediate levels. Aura continues to impress us as a talented, versatile, and driven girl in everything she does.
