About Axel: Axel is a loveable goofball with a personality that keeps us smiling everyday. Light on his feet and full of enthusiasm, he loves to “dance” and can often be found jumping up to share a hug or join in on the fun. He has a wonderfully soft temperament and an incredibly affectionate nature. Whether it’s cuddles, belly rubs, or kisses, Axel is happiest when he’s receiving attention from his people. Eager to please and always excited to be included, he brings endless joy and laughter to our lives with his playful antics and charming personality. Like many Siberians, Axel has a strong prey drive, and is a hunter of mice and frogs. He joined us from Winter Melody Siberians in Poland. We first inquired about him when he was only four weeks old, but at the time he was already spoken for. Instead, we were fortunate to be offered his beautiful sister, Kindle, whom we also adore. As fate would have it, Axel became available over a year later and was able to make the journey to Canada. We were absolutely thrilled to welcome the boy we had admired since birth into our family. True to our hopes, he shares all the wonderful qualities we love in his sister – kind, gentle, and incredibly sweet. Axel loves children and gets along well with every dog he meets. His best friend in the world is Jon Snow, and together they are quite the silly pair. We are incredibly grateful to have Axel in our lives and cherish him more than words can express. He is truly a special boy.
Achievements: Axel has proven to be a versatile and enthusiastic partner in a variety of activities. Within one month, he earned both his Novice Trick Dog and 2-K9 Ruff Run titles. A valued member of our sled teams, Axel excels in any position and has become one of our strongest leaders. In 2023 & 2024 , he earned three qualifying legs toward his Working Pack Dog title, bringing him one step closer to completion needing 1 more leg to earn his title. In January 2024, Axel achieved his Triple Threat title, followed by his Equinox 5 km title in the fall of 2024. In fall 2025, he tried Sprinters for the first time and earned a qualifying score toward his Novice Sprinter title with an impressive time of 9.0 seconds but then decided he preferred running to the truck rather than the finish line lol!! We will try sprinters with him again in 2026 in hopes he understands the assignment. Summer 2026, alongside his buddy Stella he achieved his Working Pack Dog title. We are proud of all that Axel has accomplished and look forward to many more adventures with him in the years to come.
